How can we ensure AI is developed transparently and responsibly?

DECIDE is taking part in “Design for Change: Responsible AI,” an evening event hosted by Tetem in Enschede that brings together researchers, professionals and the public around this question.

Three DECIDE voices are among the speakers. Dr Mieke Boon (University of Twente) addresses ethical questions around AI in medicine, training and other application areas. Dr Mehdi Dastani (Utrecht University) discusses how societal responsibilities, norms and philosophy shape the design of AI for decision-making. Rien Heuver (Glazen Uil) shares practical examples of Responsible AI in Enschede, keeping users and their interests central to design.

The presentations are followed by a shared discussion with all speakers, where attendees can ask questions and exchange ideas.

Entry is free; the event language is Dutch.
